The triumph of Trump, the Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama prepares to open, and nothing but good news surrounds its opening. This will be the sixth of the Trump Hotel Collection and it will open on July 6.

The Trump Ocean Club Panama will be the only hotel in the Punta Pacifica neighborhood, an area filled with high end condos and shopping malls and is easily spotted in the Panama City skyline because if its unmistakable sail-like shape.

Panama City already has many hotel chains like Intercontinental Miramar, Le Meridien, Sheraton, Four Points, Radisson and Marriot – plus several others on their way like Hard Rock International (a 66 story Megapolis expected to open in December) and the Holiday Inn Express ( 198 rooms expected to open 2012), chief Jim Petrus realizes that others have discovered Panama City's great potential.

Not only hotel chains are realizing the potential that Panama has, many multinational companies like Caterpillar, Proctor & Gamble and more are expanding their operations in Panama City. Jim Petrus thinks they've found their ideal market.

"We think we are going to attract a different kind of costumer to our location, with the architecture of the building and amenities". "We are pushing something that is new and exciting" Petrus said.

Introductory rates start at $279 USD with complementary breakfast, a 20% bar discount and unlimited WI–FI. This is only for a night and for all bookings made through July 31. After they have worked out any kinks that they hotel may have, expect rates to go up to $349 USD and after that expect prices to average at $400 USD a night. At that average price, Trump Ocean Club Panama will be one of Panama´s most expensive hotels.

Since Panama City has become a popular destination with tourist an Americans who are looking to retire here, Jim Petrus is counting on Americans to fill 50% of the hotel rooms.
